Stolen Car Recovered by Shomrim in Bronx Shipping Container

A car that was stolen from Wythe Avenue and Williamsburg Street was recovered about two hours later in the Bronx after being tracked to a shipping container.

According to information obtained by Williamsburg365, Shomrim was able to track the car thru the vehicle’s tracking system. Shomrim members followed the signal and located the car inside a trailer that was positioned in a shipping container, apparently prepared for transport.

Shomrim contacted the local NYPD, who responded to the scene and opened the container, where the stolen vehicle was found.

The car was removed from the container and returned to its rightful owner. The incident remains under investigation.
