Skulen Prepares For A Weekend Of Celebrations

By Idy Perl
Skulene chassidim in Williamsburg are preparing for a joyous few days as they will celebrate the wedding of the son of the Skulene Rebbe, shlit”a, as well as the Chanukas Habayis of the magnificent new Beis Medrash.
The new shul was temporarily used on Chanukah for the menorah lighting ceremonies to accommodate the large crowds. Since then, intensive construction work has been taking place to bring the building to full completion.
This week, Shabbos Parshas Bo, will be the Shabbos Aufruf of the Rebbe’s son. The simcha will also be the inaugural event taking place in the new shul and will serve as an auspicious beginning of the community’s new chapter in the shul.
The Shabbos will be attended by hundreds of chassidim from near and far, and the Skulene Rebbes from Monsey and Lakewood will join the celebration as well. Together with their brother they will lead the tefillos and all three seudas together throughout the Shabbos.
On Sunday, Parshas Yisro, a large Sheva Brachos celebration will be held for all chassidim, which will be combined with the Chanukas Habayis for the new shul.
