Sightseeing Boat Crashes Near Domino Park, Safely Towed to Pier 36 — No Injuries Reported

Emergency crews responded Friday afternoon after a sightseeing boat reportedly lost power and struck a wall near Domino Park along the East River.

Authorities said the incident occurred near South 3rd Street and Kent Avenue, prompting a rapid response from FDNY, NYPD, and marine units. The vessel, approximately 100 feet long and carrying around 30 to 55 passengers, became stranded after losing power.

Emergency personnel confirmed no injuries among those on board. Marine units worked to stabilize the vessel, and a second tugboat was eventually dispatched to tow it to safety after the first was found unsuitable. The boat was successfully towed to Pier 36 in Manhattan later in the afternoon.

The NYPD initiated a Level 1 mobilization for crowd control as onlookers gathered along the waterfront. Officials reported that all passengers were safe and the situation was fully resolved.
