Satmar Rebbe Plans Trip To Antwerp

By Idy Perl

After months of preparation the Satmar Rebbe’s much anticipated trip to Antwerp, Belgium is only a few days away.

The Rebbe will travel to personally see the remarkable growth of the Satmar community in Antwerp and have the opportunity to meet his chassidim who reside there.

Two momentous occasions will be taking place during the Rebbe’s stay. First, the even hapinah ceremony for the magnificent new Beis Medrash D’Satmar will take place on Tuesday, Parshas Vayishlach. Simultaneously, the participants of the Chabires Zichro will be celebrating a siyum on the completion of masechtes Chilin and masechtes Bechoros.

The second event that will be taking place is the dedication ceremony for the beautiful new Satmar Talmud Torah building, which has been completed after months of hard work. The ceremony will take place on the large property adjacent to the building.

The Rebbe’s trip will last for three days, during which he will lead the tefillos in the Beis Medrash, attend a fundraising event for the new shul, and spend time with his chassidim.
