Sanitation Leaders Meet with Askanim Ahead of Yomim Tovim
By Y.M. Lowy
Brooklyn North Sanitation, along with the BK-1 and BK-3 chiefs, met with Askanim Moishe Indig of WJCC, Moses Weiser, and Sam Stern of UJO to finalize preparations for the upcoming Yomim Tovim.
The meeting focused on sanitation plans, including enhanced garbage pickup, strategic placement of containers, and other cleaning measures. Officials also discussed ticketing enforcement during the holidays and Shabbos, emphasizing discretion since cleaning outside on Yom Tov can't be done.
Thanks to the tireless work of Askanim in Williamsburg, this service is arranged so that, twice a year, before Pesach, and now, large dumpsters are placed to handle the increased trash from Yom Tov preparations.
