Pedestrian Ramp Work Started This Week on Lee Ave and Nearby Streets
By Y.M. Lowy
Pedestrian ramp work is taking place in parts of Williamsburg this week, with crews upgrading corners to improve accessibility.
The work is scheduled from today until Friday, May 9, between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day. Crews will be moving around, so not every location will be worked on at the same time.
Areas expected to see work include Lee Avenue and Middleton Street, Lee Avenue and Williamsburg Street East, Lee Avenue and Keap Street, Williamsburg Street West and Bedford Avenue, and Williamsburg Street West and Wythe Avenue.
Drivers should keep an eye out for signs and barrels that may go up ahead of time. Parking and access could be tight near active work spots.
