NYCDOT Announces Daytime Lane Closures on Williamsburg Bridge
By Williamsburg 365 Staff
The New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT) has announced upcoming daytime lane closures on the Williamsburg Bridge as part of ongoing maintenance and rehabilitation work.
According to the notice, rolling single-lane closures will take place on both the Brooklyn-bound and Manhattan-bound roadways on Tuesday, March 17, and Wednesday, March 18, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The closures will occur one lane at a time as crews continue maintenance operations on the bridge.
Officials noted that these daytime lane closures are in addition to previously announced overnight work, which includes a full nighttime closure of the Brooklyn-bound Outer Roadway.
Drivers are advised to expect possible delays and allow extra travel time while the work is underway. Residents seeking more information about NYCDOT construction projects or other non-emergency city services can contact 311.
