Motorcycle Crash in Williamsburg Leaves Rider Dead, Shuts Down Bedford Avenue and Causes Major Gridlock

A serious crash early this morning has shut down traffic in Williamsburg. The crash involved a motorcycle and two cars.
Police say a motorcycle traveling from Myrtle Avenue ran a red light around 4:40 a.m. and struck a car. The rider was thrown into the air and collided with another vehicle. Sadly, he did not survive this accident.
Bedford Avenue was closed between Myrtle Avenue and Park Avenue for a police investigation. The closure has caused heavy gridlock, with school buses traveling through the neighborhood unable to bring children to school and cheider.
