Lane Closures Scheduled On Williamsburg Bridge Next Week

The New York City Department of Transportation will continue maintenance and rehabilitation work on the Williamsburg Bridge next week, with rolling single-lane closures planned on both the inner and outer roadways.

The daytime closures are scheduled from Monday, August 3, through Thursday, August 6, between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Additional nighttime closures are scheduled Thursday, August 6, and Friday, August 7, from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.

Only one lane will be closed at a time as crews carry out the work, and the closures will affect both the Manhattan-bound and Brooklyn-bound sides of the bridge.

Motorists traveling across the Williamsburg Bridge during the scheduled work periods should expect possible delays and allow additional travel time.
