Heimishe Askunim Among City & State Brooklyn Power 100 List

In releasing its yearly Brooklyn Power 100 list, naming those considered powerful in the Borough of Brooklyn, City & State included some familiar names, and some new ones.

At the beginning of the list stand Mayor Eric Adams, Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso, State Attorney General Letitia James, and Brooklyn DA Eric Gonzalez, among many other powerful people in the City.

District 33 Member of City Council Lincoln Restler is number 36 on the list and described in short as someone "who chairs the Committee on Governmental Operations, State and Federal Legislation is one of Mayor Eric Adams’ loudest rivals."

Rabbi Moshe Duvid Niederman, President and Director of UJO, is number 59 on the list and is mentioned with credit for Mayor Adams' win:" It was of little surprise that Rabbi David Niederman made the call to rank Eric Adams second in the 2021 mayoral primary, which helped him eke out a victory. Adams paid back the Orthodox community by pledging support for yeshivas and their independence."

MET Council’s David Greenfield and Eli Cohen, Executive Director of Crown Heights Jewish Community Council also join the list for their respective accomplishments.
