Dramatic: Car Chase Nearly Kills Jewish Pedestrians

By Idy Perl

A major car chase that went down in Williamsburg almost had a tragic ending.

Officers from the 94th Precinct were chasing a vehicle for a few minutes already when the driver came speeding down Wythe Avene. Without warning he flew onto the sidewalk at the corner of South 8th and Wythe Avenue, nearly crashing into several bochurim who were standing at the corner. They managed to move away in the nick of time, and Baruch Hashem no one was injured.

The driver careened further down Kent Avenue on the wrong side of the street and narrowly avoided causing an accident.

Police finally caught up with the vehicle at Kent Ave and South 9th Street, where the driver was arrested.
