Daytime Lane Closures Scheduled on Brooklyn-Bound Side of Williamsburg Bridge

Motorists traveling into Brooklyn should prepare for daytime traffic disruptions as officials have announced rolling single-lane closures on the Brooklyn-bound inner roadway of the Williamsburg Bridge.

According to the advisory, closures will take place on Tuesday, June 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Only one lane will be closed at a time, allowing traffic to continue moving while maintenance or construction work is carried out.

The lane restrictions are expected to affect vehicles traveling from Manhattan into Brooklyn. Drivers are encouraged to allow for additional travel time, consider alternate routes when possible, and exercise caution when approaching work zones.

Transit operations on the bridge are expected to continue as scheduled.
