YS Gold
We regret to inform you of the passing of Rebbetzin Roiza Blumenkrantz, a”h, a resident of Williamsburg for many decades. She was 97 years of age, and leaves behind beautiful Torah generations.
The nifteres was born in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn, to her father, Rav Tzvi Hirsch Dachowitz, the Rov of the nusach Ari Shul, a magnificent and enormous shul in Brownsville.
She was raised in a home steeped in Torah and yiras Shamayim.
Although she was born and bred in America, she wanted to marry a ben Torah.
Many Bnei Torah—refugees from Churban Europa—were making their way into America during those years, and Roiza married Rav Avraham Shloime Blumenkrantz, a Talmid of the Mirer yeshiva in Europe and in Shanghai.
Until his passing in 2001, she stood by his side as they established a beautiful Torah family and served the mispalelim of Talmud Torah D’Brooklyn for 40 years.
The nifteres was known for her ehrlichkeit and her chessed, always doting on her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Rebbetzin Blumenkrantz leaves this world with a legacy of mesirus nefesh for Yiddishkeit and having impacted the lives of countless people over his long life.
Yehi zichra baruch.
