BDE: Reb Yaakov Yitzchok Katz, z"l

The Pupa chassidus suffered a crushing blow this Shabbos with the passing of Reb Yaakov Yitzchok Katz, z"l, a distinguished personality within the chassidus. He suffered a heart attack during a Simcha over Shabbos, and was niftar soon thereafter. 

The niftar was a melamed in the Pupa cheder in Williamsburg for many years, and was extremely devoted to his calling. He shaped the souls of his many talmidim, and is remembered fondly by them. 

Reb Yaakov Yosef was an extremely devoted chossid of the Pupa Rebbe, and he would sing during the chupa celebrations in the Rebbe's family. 

He was deeply beloved in the chassidus, a well known and admired personality, a talmid chochom who was beloved by all. This loss is deeply crushing to the hundreds who knew and admired the niftar. 

The levaya took place in front of the Pupa Beis Medrash on Sunday morning, and the niftar is being laid to rest on the Pupa beis hachaim.
