W365 regrets to inform you of the petirah of Reb Shloime Rubinfeld, z"l, longtime proprietor of the seforim store on Marcy Avenue, and a lifelong Williamsburg resident.

The niftar was known as a deeply ehrliche Yid, with sterling middos. Williamsburg residents recall their dealings with Reb Shloime, always coming away inspired by his straightness and ehrlichkeit.

The store was located on Marcy Avenue between Penn and Hewes, and the store actually began in the Paya Shul, where the niftar was the gabbai and mikvah Yid for many years. He began selling Judaica items and seforim near the mikvah, and this eventually became the store across the street.

The niftar became weak at the beginning of this winter, and relocated to his children in Kiryas Yoel. He collapsed about two weeks ago, and was niftar Wednesday evening, throwing his family and the Williamsburg community into sadness.

After a Levaye this morning in Williamsburg, The niftar is heading to Kiryas Yoel for Kevurah.

Yehi zichro baruch.
