BDE: Reb Nuchem Greenwald, z"l, Holocaust Survivor

YS GOLD

We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Nuchem Greenwald, z"l, a Holocaust survivor and legenedary Pupa Chossid. He was 101 years of age, and devoted his life to building the Pupa chassidus in America.

The niftar hailed from the illustrious family of the Arugas HaBosem, and learned under the Vayaged Yaakov in Papa, Hungary.

He survived the horrors of the war, and when he emerged from the geihinom, he rolled up his sleeves and set to work. A senior member of the Pupa mosdos relates that "Reb Nuchem built Pupa with his bare hands." He was involved throughout his life in the welfare of the mosdos and of the chassidus in general.

He lost two children in his lifetime, but he never complained, and always espoused a pure emunah, and this is how he is remembered by countless desdendants and admirers within the chassidus.

The levaya willl take place 10:00 this morning in front of the Pupa beis medrash in Williamsburg.

Yehi zichro baruch.
