BDE: Reb Mendel Goldberger, z”l

We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Mendel Goldberger of Williamsburg. He was 78 years of age. 

The niftar was born in Pöcking, Germany, in the immediate aftermath of the Holocaust to parents who survived his horrors. The family soon came to America, and settled in Williamsburg where he would remain all his life. 

He enrolled in the Satmar Yeshiva, and was one known as one of the best bachurim in Yeshiva.

He married the daughter of Reb Yisroel Alter Weinstock, a prominent Viznitzer chossid. Together with his wife, tbl”ch, he established beautiful generations. 

Reb Mendel loved Torah, and regularly delivered a shiur in the Satmar Beis Medrash on Rodney Street. 

The levaya will take place at 10:00 this morning in front of the Satmar Beis Medrash on Hooper Street.
