BDE: Reb Meir Yehuda Goldberger, z"l

We regret to inform you of the untimely passing of R' Meir Yehuda Goldberger, a beloved figure in the Williamsburg community, an admired personality in the Pupa chassidus, and a lifelong Williamsburg resident. He was 50 years of age, and had suffered from illness in recent years.
the niftar was the son of Reb Aaron Akiva Goldberger, a prominent Pupa chossid and the proprietor of Goldberger's Grocery on Division Avenue, and he devotedly assisted his father at the establishment for many years. During the summers, he worked the kitchen manager in the Viznitzer camp in upstate New York.
He was the son in law of Reb Yisroel Weber, z"l, also a Pupa chossid, and together with, ybl"ch, his wife, established a beautiful Torah home.
The niftar is remembered by the many who knew and admired him as a truly chasidishe Yid who was refined and devoted to one and all.
He was diagnosed with an illness four years ago, and tragically passed away Thursday morning, hours after marrying off his son.
The levaya will take place 6:10 at the Viznitz Shul on Lee Ave, followed with at a Levaye at the Pupa Beis Medrash on Bedford Avenue.
