BDE: Reb Gavriel Aleksander (Sender) Gombo, z"l

We regret to inform you of the passing of Reb Sender Gombo of Williamsburg, one of the most senior and respected Pupa chassidim. He was 85 years of age. 

The niftar was an esteemed member of the Pupa kehillah, and is described as a true "nechba el hakelim," a Yid who didn't know the definition of hubris. 

He was known for his ehrlichkeit and yiras Shamayim, and for his respect to every person. 

He was also a talmid chacham who authored pamphlets elucidating Rashi, shedding light on difficult passages in Rashi for so many to enjoy. 

He leaves behind beautiful Torah generations, and a many admirers. 

The levaya took place at the Pupa Beis Medrash in Williamsburg earlier today, and kevurah was in Westchester.
