Assistant Chief Mark A. Vazquez Named Commanding Officer of Brooklyn North
The NYPD has officially appointed Assistant Chief Mark A. Vazquez as the new Commanding Officer of Patrol Borough Brooklyn North.
Chief Vazquez brings deep experience to this role, having previously served as the Commanding Officer of the 90th Precinct in Williamsburg, as well as leading the 75th and 73rd Precincts — among the toughest precincts in Brooklyn North. Over his career, he has served in multiple commands across the borough, earning a reputation for strong leadership and dedication to public safety.
As Commanding Officer of Brooklyn North, Chief Vazquez will now oversee all precincts in the borough sector, working closely with local community leaders, elected officials, and neighborhood organizations to address crime, quality-of-life concerns, and strengthen police–community relations.
