79th Precinct Commanding Officer Deputy Inspector Arsenio Camilo Honored During National Night Out

YSR.

Deputy Inspector Arsenio Camilo, commanding officer of the NYPD’s 79th Precinct, was honored Tuesday during this year’s National Night Out celebration, receiving a proclamation from New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch in recognition of his leadership and dedicated service to the community.

The proclamation was presented during the annual National Night Out Against Crime Event at the precinct, which brought together residents, community organizations, elected officials, and members of law enforcement for an evening focused on strengthening relationships between police and the communities they serve.

Deputy Inspector Camilo was recognized for his leadership of the 79th Precinct and his continued commitment to public safety and community engagement throughout the neighborhood.

National Night Out is held each year in communities across the country to promote crime prevention, build partnerships between residents and law enforcement, and encourage stronger neighborhood involvement.

The recognition from the mayor and police commissioner served as a strong public acknowledgment of Deputy Inspector Camilo’s leadership and service since taking command of the 79th Precinct. Since assuming the position, he has quickly earned the respect of both fellow officers and the community alike for the job he has done in strengthening public safety, reducing crime, and building strong partnerships throughout the precinct and community.
